In 2009, when guidos and guidettes were safely confined to cult-classic movies and niche bars, "Jersey Shore" careened into the collective pop cultural consciousness, and two of the beach rental house's tenants, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, formed a bond that became the friendship benchmark for the modern era.
